Mable named 2025 AFR Customer Champion for B2C

Mable's technology-driven platform, which empowers choice for older people and people with disability, was named the Australian Financial Review's (AFR) 2025 Customer Champions winner in the Challenger Business-to-Consumer category.

The AFR's Customer Champions list showcases organisations that are champions in the eyes of customers and shareholders.

Mable started out a little over a decade ago, when co-founder Peter Scutt hit a barrier all too familiar to many Australian families seeking the right care for their elderly parents who want to remain in their own home.

It was a confusing, costly and difficult time trying to find a new support person to help with day-to-day life, but who could also really connect with his parents.

It was then that Peter and Mable co-founder Tony Charara came up with a simple idea: an online network that could connect people seeking care and support with a community of independent providers.

Mable differentiates itself through its technology-driven platform that empowers choice and delivers value with more care hours at competitive pricing – earning it the top spot in the Challenger Business-to-Consumer category on the AFR Customer Champions list.

The AFR Customer Champions list, in partnership with Kearney, recognises organisations that excel in creating significant value for both customers and shareholders. To do so, they have established distinctive ways of doing business with their peers.

Mable Technologies (short for "I'm able") was the first digital platform to enter the aged care and disability sectors. It has filled a gap in a complex market, addressing the needs of an ageing population and giving the independence craved by so many older Australians. It also works with NDIS participants.

Furthermore, it is shaking up the traditional aged care and disability services model at a time when there is a significant workforce shortage.
