Tony Charara, CEO and Co-Founder of Mable, which is part of Attain Healthtech, was named the 2025 Ernst and Young (EY) Entrepreneur of the Year in the Technology category at the annual awards ceremony held in Melbourne.
The EY Entrepreneur Of The Year program shines a spotlight on entrepreneurs across Australia who master the artful balance of passion, determination, character, and skill to create businesses that address the most complex challenges and build a better working world.
Mable's Board Chair, Kate-Carnell AO, said Tony is a visionary business leader.
"The whole Mable community is incredibly proud of Tony and thrilled to see his dedication to transforming Australia's health and support landscape through innovative technology be recognised in this way.
"Mable is one of Australia's largest and most diverse communities of independent support providers and has had an incredible impact. In 2024, through Mable, over 22 million hours of support have been provided, and more than 200,000 connections between clients and independent support providers have been made," said Kate.
Since 2001, EY has been celebrating ingenuity in Australia through the Entrepreneur Of The Year program, recognising outstanding entrepreneurs for their vision, innovation, courage, and leadership in building and growing successful businesses.
Colin McNeil, EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Program Leader, said, "Entrepreneurs forge new paths, ignite change, and light the way toward a better world. Their stories help all of us see the world not as it is, but for what it could be, and that is the true artistry of entrepreneurship.
"From creating disruptive technologies and transforming consumer journeys to building new communities and driving positive social change, there's no limit to entrepreneurs' creativity," said Colin.
